Answer
Oh dear not the best night time routine.. you need to cognitively retrain yourself away from this kind of destructive thinking.. brbrStart off with a whole new bedtime routine.. get rid of the tvelectronics from the room for a start, make it an inviting relaxing space not too hot or cold, nice decor, nice clean sheets, calm etcbrbrThen have the same routine stick to a bed time, have a warm bath, milky drink, brush your teeth and read something for minutes. brbrOnce the light is out by all means day dream and think I do but only of positive thoughts.. anything you need to do write lists about earlier and if they keep invading your thoughts tell your mind to stop.. this is your time not time for the crap things..brbrYour imagination, far from being a place to persecute you has the potential to also be the place to liberate you.. people do not live in their imagninations enough and this could help get rid of your depression too..brbrOnce you close your eyes think of scenarios that make you happy a favourite childhood memory, a favourite scenery in which you explore, something you would love to happen etc etc the list is endless.. I do this every night and I end up drifting off into a lovely sleep.brbrEither way you cannot lose whilst you are day dreaming and relaxed you are happy and when you are asleep you are resting..brbrAt times when I have been stressed it also helps to take long shallow very deep breaths and to internally relax your system by repeating the mantra This too will pass.. brbrGood luck lack of sleep is horrible.
