Ebay are these people wasting my time?

Hi AllbrbrI have recently joined ebay as a completley new user and i am confused, i have an item for sale on there at the mo, a Nokia N mobile phone on the network and have had emails to my yahoo account, both from different people, they want to buy the phone but privately like and not through ebay. both say that when i agree to sell to them they want me to end the auction but are they just taking me for a ride or do you think they are serious? Has this happened to anyone else?brbrPlease advise!
